Freedom Investment Group has grown exponentially since they opened in 2020, growing to 1000+ doors. Growing that quickly means that they are constantly evaluating how they are doing things. 

“Growth is really painful, and when you grow exponentially and do it quickly, it’s even more painful, so we’re constantly evaluating and looking at how we’re doing things, why we do them, is it the best way to do them.”

As they grew however, they tried multiple ways to tackle the operations management problem.

“We’ve used Buildium from the beginning; I’ve not used any other platform for management, but as we grew, we realized that we were creating all of these operational things outside of Buildium to try to make everything work and none of those things talked to each other. And so as we onboarded new employees or onboarded new properties or owners, lots of things were getting missed, dropped, not a lot of consistency or standardization just because we didn’t have anything in place that provided that.”

“The consistency I think. Like I mentioned, one of the things that was creating a lot of problems is we were using lots of spreadsheets, and this property manager had this email template that he was sending out to a new resident while this manager had a different one or didn’t have one at all. Buildium is fantastic as a management platform, but not as a workspace, really not great as a communication tool outside of a quick announcement to a tenant, onboarding new owners and standardizing those processes.”

“And the automations. Because we’ve had such rapid growth, we’re constantly adding new team members and moving people around, so being able to have someone get into LeadSimple and follow the process and read the instructions and work through a task or a part of their role with all that they need right there at their fingertips is really priceless. It helps with speed, efficiency, providing a better product and service, especially to our owners, with communication to them and internal communication.”

“I love being able to see every email sent by every person on the team to this one particular tenant or every text message, so if someone is out of the office for the day and a tenant calls in and needs to know or are following up on something, I can get in and see exactly what the conversation has been and what was done and what’s next.”
